Choice v. Referendum

The choice is between looking back or going back.  Between Obama's turnaround and Raw Money's turnaround.   The economy has turned around and Obama can claim his second term.  The economy may turnaround* either way, but it does depend on actions and even inactions, not just words.  Ravi Batra predicts a double dip before the November election but also a recovery next administration.  So talk may be cheap, but it does depend on who you listen to***, and who we follow.

Not to make it a referendum on(awkward segue/lost line**) Obamacares v. Romneycare.
Choice is Greek to too many.

"Sad day" for dribble [!]
What's the dribble? Not to be ironic. It's politics on the table, in regard to contempt of process.

Slang for Morning Joe** or not* your cup of tea. OK, I mixed metaphors or drinks, implying a wake-up. Actually I may have something here, as the bailout, or rescue has not yet reached a full intervention, and will it?

*On a lark I looked up Morning Read which you need not, nor dig up Slang Note: bold link is the read for the day.
** I don't catch the show but would recommend Rachel Maddow getting another 2 hours.

[Evening update: the way this comment weaves I might refer to the navigation link. Meanwhile another link: I need to unembed or consider the table.
In particular:
a list of economists I had intended to sort as progressives, Noted in the article - Joseph Stiglitz, Dean Baker, Jared Bernstein. Not noted - Paul Krugman, Ravi Batra: Meanwhile: Kudos to Krugman. Speaking of Laffer and Elixirs ]

Wage-Productivity Gap

Dr. Ravi Batra: New Thinking on the Economy

It is hard to see what is new about this thinking. It seems to be how it works. Without the tinkering of the Federal Reserve, the boom and bust cyle would be busted.

It must also be remembered that now Secretary of Treasurer Geitner is in the Obama administration while his prior position was as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York during the Bush admininstration. That may not be an excuse for any unwise or erroneous moves, but it does put the cards he was dealing with under the table, as we see know that the government will be holding the cards on the table. This is not just a gratuitous slam or partisanship but the basic difference in the view of government responsibilities. The finacial situation was so serious, that some action was necessary before a complete change in administration could take place.

But then there is the D-Ri've punned or they've punned, which I have Re-vised, where the economy is in the ditch and some have the solution of running it into a ditch again to fix it. Not to get too sunk in metaphors, rising tide or not, there are D-R i've O(a)rs of the economy no matter the vehicle or passengers.]

[On the other hand, in context:
Redistribution has a "from" side (taxation) and a "to" side (spending). On the "from" side, the notion that government should use taxation to increase rather than decrease equality is hardly Marxist. In "The Wealth of Nations," Adam Smith begins his section on taxation with the following maxim: "The subjects of every state ought to contribute towards the support of the government, as nearly as possible, in proportion to their respective abilities." To ask otherwise, Smith writes, would be obviously unfair.]

[7-21-11 Fair and Balanced, and Leaning Back: "Cry me a river" Michael Steele leans back at Joan Walsh's Obama/Reagan comparison(Fair link - 3:20) on MSNBC's Hardball, but the reality is that Obama as a Senator and as a President fits the bill of the history. As a Senator his vote against the debt ceiling raise, was an attempt to address the deficit, just as what forced the compromise Reagan made to get his. Meanwhile the people are with President Obama as well as Cenk Uygur.]

But I will say, as Nietzche put it there is German thinking and there is Oriental thinking; linear and wholistic (not to put things in black and white). Then (I might say)there is Austrian thinking; not to cast aspersions of intent or geographical origins, but I will follow up with related Economics (and other)links that I feel are helpful.]

Not to mention, in the example(slide 14) charting the economy versus fund manager incomes.]
